Welcome to the Title I Program – LAUSD Region South

Super South – Where We Over-Serve the Underserved

At LAUSD Region South, the Title I Program is driven by a powerful mission: to ensure that all students—especially those in economically disadvantaged communities—receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education. Title I, a key component of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), provides supplemental services and targeted support to schools with high percentages of students from low-income families, helping to close opportunity gaps and boost academic achievement.

Rooted in this mission, we in Region South go further. We proudly “over-serve the underserved”—delivering more than just the minimum. Our team provides schools with strategic guidance, meaningful resources, and collaborative support that addresses the academic, social-emotional, and holistic needs of every learner.

We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed—regardless of zip code, background, or circumstance. That’s why we work side-by-side with school leaders, educators, families, and community partners to create inclusive, empowering learning environments where students not only learn but thrive in order to be College and Career Ready.
