Region XS - Title I
Title I is a federally funded program that provides services to improve academic outcomes for low-achieving students in K-12 schools, helping them meet academic standards. It is important to note that Title I is a comprehensive program, not just a funding source, and the priorities and activities are documented on the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA).
 
Following the SPSA’s Cycle of Improvement, decisions are made thoughtfully by:
  1. Analyzing student performance data
  2. Identifying student needs
  3. Creating measurable objectives
  4. Implementing relevant evidence-based strategies
  5. Monitoring implementation
  6. Evaluating effectiveness
Among the XS / Virtual Academies and Educational Option Schools, 60 Title I schools strive to provide students with supplemental instructional resources, learning opportunities, and personnel to prepare them to reach their academic and social-emotional goals and become college-ready.
 
Working as a team with stakeholders across the entire school community, we will follow the five Pillars of the Strategic Plan while implementing a strong Title I Program:
